Scorpion batteries are garbage!!!

Well, the price was right on this battery, and the specs looked great.

However, within a few weeks of putting this thing in my '05 Chopper, I went out to start the bike after being in the store a few minutes, and it went belly up! So, I walked home, had a friend drive me back to my bike, tried the key one more time just to make sure it hadn't magically come back to life... which it hadn't. Popped out the Scorpion battery, popped in the ol' Harley one, and BAM! The bike fired right up!

Hopefully I can get a refund on this thing, or else I'll end up with a 12 volt paper weight!

Just a warning to those out there thinking of putting this thing in their bike.

Check your charging system anyway.
Yeah, good point, I'll need to do that.

My dealer has always said that the good 'ol Harley battery is the way to go.

However, I'm sure the Big Boar and some other batteries are fine, if perhaps not better. I'm getting tired though of taking chances on batteries. One other time, back when I had my Harley, I put a battery in it by some unknown maker, and a month later it crapped out. The Harley place said the charging system was fine, and stuck a new battery in. All was good for a years!

I spent the extra money and bought the Braille battery! Alhall and Chaingunner are also running this battery! no problems and had it in for a few months now....cranked over when the temp was at 28 degrees:whoop: were as my old Interstate battery clicked when it was 36 degree's out... then my hazards came on....well worth the cheese:2thumbs: ...Alhall had the Big boar in his scoot for 2 1/2 years and the only problem he had was his terminals started cracking other than that he said it cranked the motor fine....then he switched to the Braille

The Scorpion battery proved itself to be crap for me, but at least the company stands behind their product!

After emailing both Scorpion and the online store I purchased it from, I got an email from the store saying that they had heard from Scorpion, and will be honoring their warranty. Of course they were VERY apologetic about the battery, and said I could either get a new battery or a refund. I opted for the refund, and they credited me 100% of what I paid!

So, either their batteries suck, or I just got a bad one... but either way, at least they stepped up to the plate and took care of the issue! Bad battery, great company!!!
