I don't know if anybody is interested, but i have a scorpio alarm that was slightly used for sale. I installed it for Myrtle Beach and than had problems with my electronics on the bike. So the dealer took it off, and now Bigdog says if I put it back on it will void the warranty. The alarm is a Sr-1900. It is a nice alarm with a rf transmitter. It was only on the bike for lest than a month. I paid $375 for the alarm and the Bigdog wiring adapter. If anybody is interested, please let me know. Just a word of caution, I would not install this on a bike that is still under warranty, it would be a headache to deal with Bigdog then.

Too bad to hear that BDM is being a warrentee bitch about the alarm. :argue:

Had one on for more than a year now with no problems...Scorpio is a great alarm!

Reason 1002 I'm getting rid of the BDM electronics this winter!

Maybe it's just a dealer issue. Our NW dealer hasn't said anything about mine - but then they know their stuff, do good work, and provide excellent customer support.

Sorry to hear about your problems with the alarm. I have had it on my 06 K9 for over a year and have had no problems.

The ONLY thing that could be stupid is if they tried to run the "ignition kill" on the ignition or EHC. That would cause LOTS of problems...

But of coarse I have the full out fool proof way to wire the "kill" to work.

The unit itself will work on anything... the only catch for you will be wiring in the tail lights. Check scorpio website to see if they have a harness for yours.

I had one installed by the dealer from day one and just like Gas said the Starter Kill will cause problems. They told me that they would install the alarm but would leave out the starter kill feature. Has worked great for me, no problems yet. :D

The starter kill does NOT cause problems if you install it correctly. I have had mine on my bike for 3 years.

not enough time 4 riding
I do not have the starter kill on my mine, but the dealer still blamed my EHC failure on the Scorpio alarm. Funny, they did not tell me that the Scorpio alarm would cause problems when the bike was in for the strut bolt replacement about three months earlier.

The alarm itself WILL NOT effect the bike!! They are full of shit, don't know their asses from a hole in the ground and are blaming what they don't understand!!!

I know the alarm will not cause any issues. I think that they just want something to blame the problems on, that isn't factory installed. I was looking around $275 if anybody is interested.(costed me $375 when I bought it)

That's it 64. I have got into a dealership before about mine... told them to ignore the alarm... its a stand alone unit and won't cause any problems PERIOD!!!!!!!!
