I just wanted to give props to john at scooters performance parts
I had a wp unit installed in my 03 chopper and the guy at okc thunder cycles raked me across coals 2 yrs later and alot of money and headache I set my fears aside and ordered a chopper harness from scooters and so far glad I did.
I installed the harness finished up yesterday and double and triple checked everything and its working great...
as far as scooters goes I ordered the harness on a monday didnt pay for faster shipping and it was here thurs. The same week
when I cut all the old wp and bd wiring out it set in what I had just done lol
as I installed the harness the wiring is screen printed every 3 inches which is awesome for someone who has never wired anything.
I only ran turn and horn to the handlebars as it come with a car start type ignition.
getting the wiring through backbone was a little more difficult as wiring is alot thicker that stock.
and being my first time I probly could have done a few things different but it all worked out
his harness consists of 3 relays and a badlands module for turn signals was very straight forward and wire by wire instructions..
even then I had a few questions along the way and he answered all of them the same day or the next which was nice if I was held up on anything...
he was very helpful through email and seemed to know his stuff when it comes to chops in general I have ordered a few item from him and with his help all has went very well.
I just wanted to say his cs is by far the best I have delt with when it comes to the dog I have had shops refuse to work on it if its electrical or charge me out the ass for minor work
john has limited knowledge of bd but always had the correct answer for me
as far as the wiring ill keep posted hopefully a good reliable system and nice to see options for the older dogs
thanks again scooters

Took the dog off the lift and took it for a spin yesterday and all the electrical worked flawlessly which was awesome the first time took it around town a few times.
I think my intermediate jet is to small and I also installed a ultima single fire ignition system from scooters I have the new jets ordered hopefully be here today I have already pulled the carb off so...
I am running 32 & 78 with .40 air bleed ill put in a .48 air bleed and 33
it ran awesom on hard acceleration and ok but not good at lower rpm but was very happy that electrically all was great
thanks

I have to admit the wiring is thicker and wish I was a little more creative with hiding the stuff under the seat but all and all I was very impressed that with johns help everything went smooth and looks great ill try to post some pics shortly..going through handle bars was ok since didnt use all the switches and backbone wasnt bad I found some weather proof insulated 12ga wiring and stripped out the thick stuff and milked new harness through it that was the worst part but now im glad I did it

I proby have a total of 20hrs solid work it was off and on so hard to say for sure but with johns help it was as easy as it could be if I had to do it again probly wouldnt take near as long lol

These are some of the under the seat photos taken as I was moving along once I found the location for everything
I went to radio shack and got a project box and drilled holes and riveted the relay holder in the bottom and the sides for the wires and mounted it where the old ehc mounted then the starter relay directly above that and the badlands module right by the battery so far so good will get finished pics of backbone and under seat tomorrow

Cant tell here I went with arlen ness super amoled lights took struts to local machine shop to drill and mill so I could get wiring out from under fender

Sometimes its a pain to get into neutral and I done away with lights on handlebars so I put this led here since my start switch is with left hand I want to make sure im in neutral when I crank it over

neutral light with seat off they had led strips on sale at part store so I velcroed it to backbone after cutting it to length of 3 bulbs and hardwired it into lighting circuit breaker...
also used one on tag light
