Only thing I am missing is a pic of Amy! hehe TexasRaider, Allen is the man for sure. He has facilitated the entire sale from start to where we are at now. All this was done while I was, and still am deployed. They have made me feel like family and I have never stepped foot in the joint! hehe So to answer your question, I have never even thrown a leg over my scoot. Only pics so far so I can't comment on the light. Have an HID on my Deuce and my Cory Ness Jackpot's stock light was not impressive. With those to go off of, I figured the stock BDM light would probably not impress me either...hence the reason I hit Jake up at Low Down up for a HID. Allen is the man to see if you are in the market. The sale has been over for a few months now but he still oversees the entire project on my bike. He sends updates and pics to keep me in the loop. Strokers is also going to do the Ape Hangers for me on the bike here in the next month and half. I will keep posting pics as that happens to see the progress. Thanks for all the nice comments. :2thumbs:

Keep the pics coming. I need to update mine as I have made a few minor changes like mirrors and led's that aren't shown anywhere. Will have to bust out the actual camera to capture the led's at night as the phone just won't cut it. I have been doing all of my minor upgrades myself so when you get back, and if you want to know anything, feel free to ask.

And a special THANK YOU to you and all the other brave souls over there kicking ass for us at home! Be safe and if I ever see your bike at Strokers Icehouse, I will be sure to find you and at least buy you a drink and anything else you want on the menu for the work you do.

Thanks Lena! Love the seat you had done TexasRaider. Going to ride my scoot first and see how I like it and depending on that, I may do the drop seat as well. I will take you up on the beer but only if I can get the second round. Yours came out kick ass!

I love the drop seat. I don't know how you are, but with the stock seat, when I would get on the throttle, it would almost suck me off the back of the seat, or at least it felt like that! This is not an issue with the drop. As for the loss of the seat springs, I can't really notice much difference as they just seemed to propel me up in the air when I hit a good bump. In my opinion, it is a rigid so you accept that and move on.

So do you know when you will be home so you can enjoy your dog?

I will be back on or around the 22 of Aug. First order of business will be to drive to Dallas and have the boys at Strokers measure me up for the Apes. They want to make sure it is perfect for my height since this will cost a pretty penny. Then I plan on picking up my scoot on the 19th of Sept when we are in town for the Bears vs Cowboys game. Unless they have it ready sooner then I may just have to head down there before then. hehe

You guys in Texas are soooo lucky to have a shop like Strokers, up here in the Pacific Northwest we don't have SHIT

oh bike looks great :2thumbs: :2thumbs: :2thumbs:

This is why I keep mr "kickstand" around...he's so sweet to me! I can't wait to have him on the back of my motorcycle! : )

Not only is Lena a cutie, she is one of the coolest ladies you will ever meet! Strokers is top notch in my book, they have never let me down.

TexasRaider where did you get your LEDs and who installed them? I want some red ons on my Pit.
I got mine from Boogie Lights and I installed them myself. When I get the pics I will post them so you can see how it looks. It wasn't really difficult at all to install, just took some time to lay it all out and get it exactly how I wanted it, because I am extremely anal when it comes to stuff like that. The guys instructional videos on their website were great, and they advised me pretty well on the initial order, but I managed to get more lights installed under the tank and behind the breather than they expected, so I ended up ordering some more and finishing out with some under the seat and even on the bottom frame for ground effects. If you do decide to go with them, I can send you pics in the daylight of exactly how mine are installed.

Texasraider, have you tried renegade lights? They have these "wheel pucks" that are put on the brake caliper that light up the wheels. They look awesome. You can look that them on renegadelights.com. Let me know what you think.

That pucks look like a cool design with the 360 degree lighting, but without seeing them in person it is hard to tell. I do know that if your wheels are polished up good, it doesn't take much light inside there to really light them up! My only concern would actually being able to see the light directly, you know? I tried to hide all of mine so you just see the glow and never the actual light itself, make sense? Then again, I have never seen them in person so cannot give an honest opinion.

But then again, if they look cool, you like them, and they are reliable, then all is good. Like I have said many times before, that is what makes the motorcycle world so awesome. Each and every person has their own likes/dislikes and that is what makes each bike so unique, and because of that, there is no right or wrong.
