SIICK!!!
That is cool Dave but for you.. just come down and use some of mine... no reason to buy more..

Also, after I did my groove out mod for water release... I noticed the same thing could be acomplished by simply drilling a small 1/8" hole at the bottom of the channel. It would only be one more hole in amungst the other 48 million holes on the backing plate.
Yeah...thats what I'm going to do Gas....I figured I'd post that to help someone else out on the shipping...when I get my bike back...I'm thinking of drilling the 1/8" hole at the bottom of the channel also...

I found a place that has that Tech Spray Fine L Kote SR...the same stuff that Jake uses....I am going to order a can from this place....its only $5.95 shipping and handling to my house...the site were Jake bought his charges $10.00 shipping and handling to my house:eek: ......just trying to help people out if they want to save a little on the shipping....

TechSpray Fine-L-Kote Conformal Coatings and Remover

Don't order the remover, it is the conformal coating REMOVER!!! It is not the coating spray itself.
I also redid the link. The site must of changed. It is working now.
Thanks,
Jake

I didn't want to add to the holes, so I came up with that design to hide it.
Any hole will work, just depends on how claens you want the results to be.

I didn't add any holes to mine, just the channel. I have had it apart since then, and no signs of water standing any more!

Well I did the sealant to my plate LED, tail lights, and tach lights.

Checked the hand controls and they are pretty well sealed...

Today while working on Dave's bike...

I took a different approach to this plate drain as I said I would in previous posts here.

The plate setup
http://www.bigdogbiker.com/forums/how/955-saving-your-plate-light-water-damage.html

Did the hole thru the back instead, figure the same thing is accomplished but instead of having a channel in the side where the led bezel and backing plate meet, just one more hole in the backing plate to join the rest of the others.

Then as an added measure... siliconed shut all the extra holes

I think its a good improvement to this process.
