Sale Value of 2007 K9 Limited?

So I dumped my "other" bike and nearly cashed in my chips too early! Wife is still beside herself. Writing this post from my hospital bed (day #13).

To get to my point . . , what's everyone think is a fair price for my '07 Big Dog K-9 Limited Edition #97 of 100. Just under 8 k miles. Gotta sell or start looking for a new wife!

Bone stock except for dealer installed V&H's Big Radius pipes, tribal grips and pegs (includes passenger), tribal hand controls with "light" clutch pull, 12" sissy bar with tail bag, user istalled Argus Battery Bug, and vertical plate mount. Only concern is a "gash" in my right hand drive belt. Not all the way through, just a a nick in belt.

Thanks.

Rich, glad you're able to write. Very sorry about your accident - sucks bad. So what happened? I always like to know so I can watch out for it. Get well soon, brother.

Wrecked once when much younger and it scared me off bikes for a while. However, as age started to hit me I told myself that no damn accident or being scared should keep anyone from doing what they like to do. My wife, mother, brothers and everyone hated the idea but I did it anyway. Now, seven years later they understand. The haters are usually the ones that know nothing about the feel of cruising at 60 mph down an old country road, smelling alfalfa, fresh cut grass, and having a full view of the countryside...yet they're the same ones that get into a vehicle without a seat belt or helmet, text while driving and hit poor bastards like us out having a good time.

Never give up what you love - it will eat you alive.

Stay safe.

Post pic's of the bike and of the wife and I'll tell ya what to do!
Ouch that's cold.....but funny..
One of the best lines I've seen on this forum yet. Nice one :2thumbs:
That is good, my only comment would be I know what the bike looks like...just need to know what the wife looks like :whoop:

Seriously though, Glad to hear your going to make it I assume the wife is saying you can't ride anymore and forcing you to get rid of her. I hope that it was a mere accident and nothing serious, although spending 13 days in the hospital can't be good.

As to the price of the skoot. I see the 07 Limited going for around 16-17 at the dealers. Depending on how fast you want to sell it price it accordingly.

I do like those Limited Edition K9's and bone stock will retain its value slightly better IMO.

Right now Dream Machines of Dallas has one priced around 18k it's been there for MONTHS its been de-moralized Rims/exhaust/air cleaner/fender struts powder coated Red, it looks terrible.

Now if you can fend the wife off for a year or so, I hope to be in the market for a K9 :D

:agree:

Glad to hear you're still with us, Rich. But I must agree with Max, if I get thrown by the bull, so to speak, I gotta hop right back on. To hell with what anybody's gotta say about it. But that's just me. You have to do whatever you feel is best for you and yours. Regardless, I hope you recover soon with no lingering scars, physically or mentally. Best of luck.

The going rate seems to vary between $16-19k.

I've had a couple of bad accidents, accidents that broke me up, but as I was lying there healing up I couldn't wait to get up and get back on. My last accident, I was scarred to try to ride again but I overcame that mental block. Take it one day at a time. Get well!

Glad you are okay first. Second my wife would kill me as I am still putting mine together but i would be interested. I live in San Marcos ca. Let me know and I would love to look at it

And btw I am on my 2nd wreck. Don't be afraid to get back on the horse. First time the doc was sewing me up on the table and the wife came in the er first thing out of my mouth was .... Can I get the r1 now lol.... But if u have to sell let me know. Best of luck to u

I would list it on Craigslist, Ebay ,etc for 24,000. If it doesn't sell at least you made an effort. A friend of mine dumped his and his wife made him sell it, a move he regrets every day

That's a terrible ultimatum. Glad you made it through the accident. I'd rather be dead than have to stop riding my bikes, and I'd keep the bike just out of spite alone. Just my $.02

So, if your wife gets in a car wreck are you going to make her sell her car? I know my wife's had her share of accidents in her time.
