He died a few weeks ago, Nov 13th. His wife Kathy called me and gave me the news. She is asking for some help in handling his affairs, specifically selling the contents of his workshop. An inventory with pics will need to be made, then valued and posted for sale. His shop is located at his house in Conroe TX.
Should anyone volunteer to help with this, contact me. And if you would, pass this info along to whom ever might be interested to know. His widow is not in a very good financial position... so the sale of his equipment would certainly help.
Thanks for your attention to this matter.

Thanks for the post, Butch, and condolences for his wife and family.
I was unaware of Bob and XxX carbs. Maybe you could fill us in a bit on what this means in terms of what might be available, and how this might unfold.
It’s really good of you to help—please keep us posted.

I bought three carbs from Bob and spare parts each time we talked. Several years ago he was ill and could no longer take large orders but did what he could. He was like semi-retired. I currently run the XXX TAZ with 2 Thunder jets, on my 2006 Mastiff. Sorry to hear he is gone. I never met the man just talked over the phone. I do know I bought my first carb from him back in 06 or 07. My condolences to his family may he RIP.

I never met the man, but we did chat on the phone a few times. One hell of nice guy to talk too, he made you feel like an old friend. I run two of his amazing carbs. RIP Bob, your skills will be missed.

Sad news. Rest gently, Bob. I have a Mini Taz on my '107 and it runs great and made a big difference in performance. Bob really was an expert in modifying the S&S carbs and making them perform.
