Guy's stay far far away from the X-Wedge. It has been nothing but a headache for me, as a matter of fact it is in the shop now for the 3rd time and I only have 4000 miles on it . And it doesn't get 40 mpg more like 30. I spoke to 3 different dealers and they all told me the S&S is considering fazing them out.

Chacha the first problem was a defect in a rocker gasket that caused a bad oil leak, then there was an overheating problem and now the timing belt is shot.
Don't get me wrong I love the way the bike rides and handles. Just hate feeling like a guinea pig!!!!:bang:

My 09 wolf still in the shop. It's been there for six week already. They still waiting for the crank shaft sensor from BDM. The all situation just make me mad.

Denny that's because BDM wants S&S to cover it. So the bike will just sit at the shop till one of them ponies up. S&S just agreed to pay for mine after 3 1/2 weeks. Good luck ..... Here you can borrow my wall :bang:

We all have different experiences with shit. I have 12K on mine with no problems at all. Had some other problems with the bike, but not the motor. I get 45MPG with mine during normal riding, but I usually ride the piss out of it. Sorry to hear you guys are having issues.

The sensor is only $120. The first two week BDM wouldn't answer back the dealer calls and e-mails (at least that what the people at the shop was telling me). So I called BDM and had them to contact the dealer (problem fix in 2 day) , and since then I'm here waiting for the part that obviosly it is on back order. Anyway it seems that the sensor is on his way and by today or tomorrow the dealer should get it. There is any law out there that protect the costumer for situation like that?

The number of people between a part and the bike exponentially increases the amount of time to fix a problem...

I know everyone is big on "warranty coverage", but the choice is really between money and being able to ride...

The crank shaft sensor is available from S&S and looking at the figure on page 3-31 of the S&S manual, there should be a HD part number equivalent....and it's a dang simple replacement. $120.00 sounds inflated by someone(s)...

I have had a few problems with mine, like a broken cam belt and fuel pump. I have over 15,000 miles on it. I get 42 to 26 miles per gallon depending on how I ride. Like my wolf

I had a cam shaft and timing belt failure on mine at 1700 miles. Getting S&S to warranty the engine was no problem, getting a crate to the dealer delayed the return of the engine by two weeks. (Communication?) If we were dealing with a company that designed and manufactured a complete bike we wouldn't be dealing with "go ask your mom and see what she says"
Those of us who own the Wolf are going to have to R&D the bike much like Ford or Chevy has Joe public R&D their new models:angry: Eventually the bugs will be worked out and someone will make the 121 put out some substantial HP #'s reliably. If something goes wrong with your new Wolf be a total pain in the ass to your dealer and BDM. Being complacent will only delay the repairs.

Just heard back from Bob Lockwood he said S&S is picking up the tab, and they are also replacing the cams with the upgraded pressure release cams. Just want to get it done so I can send it down to Florida for the winter.

I was told by my dealer/mechanic that the x-wedge still has a lot of problems and he can't recommend it yet. Out of 2 x-wedges sold at the shop, they've had 3 in shop for repairs. Oil leaks, broken cam belts, etc. Was, and still am, hoping this engine would be a solid engine and a big hit for S&S and the twin cylinder bike world.
