If you can get it for that price, that's a damn good deal. I was quoted a 'good price' only to find out it didn't include the adapter bracket. I ended up paying more than that for mine. Good for ya!:2thumbs:

part numbers:
49-3155 for the chromed intake
49-3509 for the bracket (I have a G carb, but most of dogs have the same or the E carb) .
system does include red filters.

Glad you were able to get this worked out.

Looks like a great deal for you and the rest of the forum members.

I felt bad that we were not able to help out since we are not set-up with S&S. Lots of hoops for us to jump through and not able to do so at this time.

Suggested retail price

S&S lowered the price from MSRP of $750 to about $500 for the entire kit, Still a great price. but the days of this costing $750 are long gone. You can get these through any S&S dealer for the same price.

Went in to my local bike performance shop today and ordered mine, The retail price was 500 with everything needed and he gives me a 15 percent discount so about the same price. Just hope i dont have to spend forever getting it tuned right. They recommended this intake over the spike for that same tuning problem. We shall see.

Chopped, I just installed the dual runner on my 04 chop this weekend. I'm running V&H 2 into 2 with NO baffles, Triple X Mini Taz fully modified Super G carb. Bike had the stock Big Dog breather with K&N filter, Intermediate jet was 31 and main jet was 72 and bike ran great. I am having a bitch of a time tweaking the bike with the dual runner. Sharp twist of the throttle and the bike stumbles. Changed jets to 32/80 and I'm still fighting the stumble.

Any help you can offer on tweaking afer the dual runner installation?

Thanks,

You need to adjust your accel pump. Its the screw on the top right of the carb. Turn it all the way in and then out 1/4 turn at a time. Give the throttle a sharp twist and if it continues to stumble, keep turn the screw out 1/4 turn a time until that goes away.

Jetting the carb is not complicated you can find many threads on here that will help you with jetting the carb.

Thanks man, I'll be doing some more tweaking this weekend and will give your suggestion a try. Any thoughts on jet size?
