S&S Dual Runner Installed

I get home today to see a box at the front door, and yep its my new Dual Runner. So I quickly removed my D&M Spike setup and started the install of the Dual Runner. Right away my excitment was reduced as I got the bracket that attaches to the carb and heads in place. Man this thing is bulky and a terrible fit at the head area. Must be made to fit a wide variety of bikes, it looks good from the side and front, but from the top its not so nice, also my bad ass XXX chrome carb has been swallowed by this thing. Then there's the hose clamps that hold the filters on, cheeeezz.... who the hell let this pass design review? IM going to leave it on for now and see if it grows on me.

I'll give those a look, but honestly the hose clamps are secondary. I'll PM you Mike if I dont keep it. I have to give it a honest chance, I know the performance will be a little better over the spike.

Put heat shrink tube over the hose clamps.
Did you remove the bowl vent?

Holy cow, nice, but I think I see a little spec of dust right above the top of the passenger peg under the strut, see it? just busten on ya

ringo, I got some larger hose SS hose clamps so when you tighten them down only the solid band would show and not the geared part of the band. Marked them and cut the excess off and polished the stainless band, looks much better.

I liked the runner. Blue filters looked good with your bike. But I must say those things are freakjn expensive. If you were the least bit unhappy I'd toss them too. I'd be sick if I dropped that kind of change on something I wasn't really happy with.
