S&S 631

Anyone running the 631 and if so what comp. do you have?

Specs say: High RPM street and racing engines, 11:1 and higher ratios. Develops max power at 4500 RPM and up. "good performance cam but expext more wear and tear on valvetrain. 275 degrees duration.

i'm running woods 650 lift with 10.5.1 comp

The reason that I had asked is that I just had the cam out and it had the 631. Running the stock comp. Without the compression would it still run better than a 600? With 10.5 would it run better than the 600? Just asking a few questions.I know that the 631 didn't come on until after 4500 RPM.

Horrible street cam in my opinion. S&S 600 is a nice choice for a stock set up.
