Does anyone have the specs on the 117 as it was originally produced? I would like to compair the differences between the EPA motor (that we have) and the Non-EPA motor. Quench, compression ratio, cam, valves ect.

I don't have the manual in front of me but the 117 as built by S&S non EPA:

10.2/1 Comppresion
600 cam
As I understand same cylinder head but with slightly larger valves that only affected the chamber volume by a small amount.

You can call their tech services and they will give you the valve info, but I'm sure somebody on here knows

LITTLE HELP HERE!

Yep, what VAC said.

You can take .040 off the juggs and end up with about the 10.2:1 compression. I think ours have around .055 on them and the S&S has .015 to the deck so, you can mill the .040 off and be close to the S&S stock compression.

I'm going to just wait till I need a top end to do mine but, it's on the list. If you do it sooner, might as well hone and change the rings with the juggs off anyway. At that point might was well change everything else out too and mill the heads too, put in the really hard springs and dump the .640 cam in and flow the heads. LOL
