From an old post:

Bigdog had a problem with early Daytech frames. The pivot pin doesn't have a big enough spacer where it goes into the frame.
Because of that, the pin is getting bent causing everything the get out of whack. Started out with a whinning noise on decel from the primary.
Noticed a rub mark on the rear tire. The dealer discovered that the rear wheel was so far out of alignment that the tire was rubbing against the swingarm.
The alignment problem was causing the belt squeel. The whole problem also caused the rear shocks to blow out.

Please note my bike with the problems solved is a 2004 Big Dog Chopper, Rolling Thunder frame, had no frame problems, no cracks or loosening engine mount bolts and was not due to any mis-alignments. My problem was definitely a"chirp" not a "squeel".

I respect your opinion and hope it helps others on this Forum to solve their "squeel" problems.
