I can t remove the ring around my head light. It won t turn counter clockwise and no set screw was found. Pleas advise via email : (ncwolfrescue@yahoo.com )..

Put some ducktape on the ring an use it as a wrench. A piece on each side to grab hold of it. The ring will eventually come loose.

All respects, but you do know this little Allen screw is the set screw, right?

I used an eraser disk in a drill to loosen a stuck one. Press against inner ring and nudge with variable speed drill. Being rubber it won't damage the chrome and still get good traction on the ring. Make sure drill rotation is correct ..

If remember right its a .050 allen head.

The little allen then some duct tape on the ring. You can also put a little penetrating oil very lightly in the thread…just make sure you clean it well. Also use a little anti-seize when putting it back together.
