Rust on bolts

Guys, I have a question first what can I do to get rid of rust? Second anything I can put there to prevent rust.

Ok, first I just got back today from being out of town since Friday for Labor day weekend. Took my K9 for this weekend trip which was great but unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate this weekend. So, my bike has been exposed out in the weather most of the weekend and it rained plenty of times. Today when i came home I had to ride the whole way in the rain.

So, I noticed that a lot of the Allen head bolts mainly the ones on the motor that stand straight up so they end up holding water in them have rust showing up. Any ideas on something that can help clean up that rust? You really can't get anything to big in those holes because they are so small. Does anyone have any ideas on what can be put on those bolts to prevent rust???

Try some W-40 or put them chrome caps on them. You can also cover them ugly head bolts or get the ARP head bolts.

Chrome caps will work the best unless you dry your bike every time it gets wet. I had the same problem and just bought a chrome cap kit that had all size caps to cover just about any bolt or bolt hole on the bike. It ran me about $85 bucks to do the whole bike but after I was done it looked awsome!
