My 2004 chopper starts runs then dies after about 10 seconds. It's like I turned it off. Wait 5 minutes and it starts then dies. Its getting gas....I'm lost. Anyone else experienced this?

Just a guess

Maybe the fuel strainer in the tank is plugging up and your not getting the volume of gas you need when its running. Start it with the enricher wide open and see if it dies sooner. Just a thought!

Couple things I would look at.
First off are you using the "enrichener" to start the bike? If you do then do you turn it off once the bike starts? Could be you fouled the plugs. If you think that is the case then put new plugs in it and start it without using the enrichener and only twisting the throttle a couple times. Keep the bike running by throttle till it warms up.

Second, I would drop the bowl on the carb and see if there is debrie in the bowl clogging the float pin seat. Blow it out with some hi pressure air then re-assemble and call us in the morning! :D

I did all of the above and no luck. I took it the dealer today. So I'll wait and see. Thanks for the information.
