check the stator output... then if thats checks out check the voltage regulator... whats up with the starter.. I thought it checked out.,.. you can buy a rebuild kit for the starter solenoid...new plunger & contacts....And my troubles continue. I just posted up in the help wanted section for a new stator. The damn thing quit charging on me.
you need to check your charging system..... a week battery will cause all kinds of problems as stated before... how did you check your stator?? there are a couple ways,,, do a seach,, its on here....Everything seemed to be fine after i put the new battery in, but i think that just masked the stator issue. We went on a little ride this evening and i had a loose bolt, pulled over to tighten it and it wouldn't start back up. My step dad had to run and get a truck. I charged the batt for a bit, started it and hauled ass back to their place.
I have to be the dumbest guy in the world...it took me taking of the c/b to realize there is a reset button. I was about ready to go find a replacement.yep that the breaker ... there is a small button it.. could be facing the bottom.. crank the bike & check voltage @ both terminals on the breaker should be the same if its charging.. it should be putting out 13.5 to 14 vdc.. roughly
