Run outa Gas...

Trust me thought I had enough gas in my tank to get home but nooo... even drained the reserve and ran completely out...luckly enough near a gas station. Filled her up now shes running rough as!!. Have I sucked up some stuff at the bottom of my tank?? Can anyone help me on any info to clear it. My bikes a 2004 Ridgeback.

no need to worry too much. Several members have run out of gas and SOME (RAYWOOD) run out 2 to 3 times a year and it hasnt been an issue :roll:

But look in your tank once in awhile to make sure the coating is still in tack. No issue with my 04 but some have found issues

If she's running rough after that it can only be two things...

1. some crap from the bottom of your tank went down to the Carb. Just clean the Carb!!!
2. You filled up with bad/shitty Petrol. Clean both, the Tank & the Carb and put fresh/good Petrol in it.

and also, you might want to install a Fuel filter? some threads on them here.

Cool thanks for that, you guys are great...is there any dramas in cleaning the carb out...not mechanically minded is all?? And will definitely look at a fuel filter...any info on installing them also.

if you go with a filter, go with a Pingle. they are about the only ones that flow enough for the big inch motors.
