Run button and EHC...

Just got an 07 mastiff and the weather finally let up enough for me to ride it today. I turned the key and hit run and start, nothing...I took the seat off and noticed the EHC didn't have any lights on, (everything was on and working lights, signals, ex.) I kept hitting the run button and finally a red light came on the EHC. I hit start and it fired right off. Is this an early sign the EHC is going to need replaced? Any help appreciated.

Your PCB board may just need some attention, or replacement.
Open the housing an test for continuity at the board connection when pressing the "Run" button to verify it is working correctly

I recently had mine apart and the plug @ PCB board was in need of grease, way in need. Not sayin that's the problem but at the same time when I hooked bat up to start the bike one of my tail lights wasn't coming on(running light) looked into that and was the same corrosion problem. Fixed it. I'm going to buy a large tube of the Harley Brand of grease and start hitting connections as I come across them. Good luck and grease on!

Just to clarify for neubes and others...
Your using Di-Electric grease correct?

Took housing off and tested, continuity was good. After further inspection it was a loose connection on the negative side of the battery. Going to redo all terminations tomorrow. Thanks for the input guys. Much appreciated....

I'ma use the shit outta some dielectric grease! I'll put it in every orifice from now on. 1 dab on bike 2 dabs on ole lady

Kaptin said (Your PCB board may just need some attention, or replacement.) after you check switch board use a pencil tip solder gun and carefuly re solder each solder joint then recheck PCB board for switch operation.
