Wow, that's a good deal on the caps. I spent almost that much on a box of ten.

When you put the new cap on, put a small zip tie around it. In case it back fires through the carb, it won't pop off.

VS. $5 and it's today, but tomorrow you ride as you wait for the glue to setup. 1/3rd the price is 'goop glue'. Pit bike kept on stalling. I make sure I pack the glue for any kind of repair. Cracked vac cap was sucking air. I just fingered some on as the fast fix, because pit is also for pisstops and the bike is used a lot.

I'd leave it on, finger the glue around it. It sets up kind of, sort of fast, then fill over that in a few hours. Amazing [Goop Glue] how it resists heat, oil. And no, I am not paid to push the product. I just field fix the fuck outta that tube.

I goofed on someone who was obsessed lowering the weight on his bike. But he was all set to bolt something on and I glued his asshut with a video. I had my own obsession gluing an aluminum pole off the head. Yeah, hottest part of the bike sans the pipes. That's one pole out, then I add more poles to stick out at the L angle so the camera points into the window, the timing light too. Man, that FI has some wild timing. I'd color a few tone wheel teeth to watch the timing move. No deterioration of the glue with that mount sitting there in that heat cycle. Never changed the glass cover after the testing. I wanted to see when it would finally leak, but it was totaled at an intersection a few years later. Anything but drilling into the OEM, nor add nuts&bolts to mount the jobber. If I can glue it, I'll do it.
