Hi all

I'm looking to replace my old worse out broke RSD 6 speed on my 05 chopper
When I do I'm looking to go with a hydraulic clutch So I want to go to another brand transmission 5 or 6 speed
Anyone know of a model/manufacturers of direct or mostly direct swap as far as mounting etc......
Thanks Clayton

I've done a hole lot of looking. Curtis at WSW is working on one but you will be putting out a lot of cash for just the clutch. I went with an AUTO CLUTCH from EFM. www.efmautoclutch.com you still ride and shift like normal but the clutch automatically disengages when you are at idle. It is awesome for drag racing. FYI this is what Curtis at WSW runs on his bike.

I would go with Curtis, he can do the hyd clutch like I had on my 05 but I wouldn't go to a different tranny. I have the Jim's on my 14 KMW and you wouldn't like it.

What don't you like about the Jims Transmission?
Hard shifting, kicking to gear when it idling. Baker is way better. Had over 95,000 miles on my 05 and never touched, same with my 03 Mastiff

Why not send yours to Andrew Barnes and have him rebuild if for you. Call him at 607-727-8545 and talk to him he may be able to help you out. It your tranny is completely trashed out and cannot be rebuilt. I have a used DD6 that came off my 2006 Mastiff. The Tranny has less the 3K on it, the reason I replaced it was because I bought a used one off a totaled out 2006 Mastiff and had it rebuilt and up graded to a new and more durable output shaft. The used one is in good working condition, no leaks, can be a direct bolt on it that is what you are looking for. Let me know if your interested. I want 2K for it plus shipping

Thanks but I really need to get a hydraulic clutch set up or something

I got arthritis in my hands and back and I'm having a had time with pulling clutch lever....

I already have the white brothers clutch pull and a ez clutch on the lever from AMP research and I'm still having a hard time.

Thanks again....I just figured I would kill 2 birds with one stone and as long as Im repairing the transmission I wanted to do a swap out so I can do a hydraulic clutch as long as its that far tore apart...

Plus this will be one of the last of the big dog proprietary stuff ... I just did a complete front to rear re-wire all new lights ,wires ,ignition system, coil, new wiring harness , every electic item on the bike including handbars with standard harley size and type switches And new front master cylinder.. Not a single BDM wire or electrical part on it....

So far not a single issue with the elecrtics anymore ....

Got rid of the drive belt (no more squeals) and did a chain drive set up... I changed the gas tank ,seat, most all the big dog proprietary stuff is gone.. Now for the most part I can buy of the shelf and aftermarket parts....

The hydraulic clutch is part of getting old and being rode hard and put away wet (Me not the bike) 58 this year (tomorrow actually)

With arthritis I would try autoclutch. But only if you have original chain primary.
I had one with my dry clutch, that was a bit of pain. But I did like how it worked. Pulling lever is easy one finger operation!

You sound like a good candidate for the EFM Auto Clutch, especially if you have a close primary. Call Gary at EFM at 330-947-1700, he even give you a $50.00 price cut if your a Veteran. Good Luck

Yes. But first I need a new or differnt clutch hub. Also maybe go to.open primary if I can find one for less then $3000

I like my Baker belt, but would not have autocluth with that. At least Carlos and I have spent a lot of hours tinkering with that combo. As far as I know we both went back to normal clutch because of open primary.
