Royal Purple Oil

I was recently advised to use 20W50 Royal Purple on my next oil change. Any thoughts on this

I use it in my Harley Ultra Classic, my Bigdog, both my Dodge 3500 Cummins, 2500 Chevy Duramax, Colleen’s H3 Hummer. Everything I run hard. My tractors, backhoe and dozer I run Rotella. CeCe played travel ball soccer one yr. One of the dads I was talking to at dinner mentioned he works for Calumet oil. I said y’all make Royal Purple. He laughed and said, “ I’m actually on the design team” he was a petroleum engineer with Calumet. I told him I use it in everything, and I change the oil every 10,000 miles. He laughed and asked why do you even change it? That got my attention. He said, Calumet @ 20,000 miles just replaces the oil filters on their company trucks and tops off the oil losses in the filter change. I said I’ll keep with the 10,000 mile oil changes. If you look at conventional oil it’s $1/2 the price of RP but, you have to change the oil at 3000 miles. RP I change at 10,000 so if you do the math, even though RP is twice the $$ it’s cheaper in the long run.
