thank god I gave up the booze 5 yrs ago.used to ride blasted all the time when stationed on the west coast back in the 80's,even then had my heart in my throat all the way home from the bar.now at 59 living on the ne coast of fl would not even consider it with the idiots on the roads around here.:2thumbs:

Read the book "Riding on the Edge, A motorcycle outlaw's tale" by John Hall. He talks about being drunk, standing up on his seat, and blowing every redlight through town.

He speaks many times about being blasted and riding and waking up somewhere, never remembering how the hell he got there.

Not for me...I wont ride with 1 beer in me. I just dont trust anyone else on the road!

holy cow that was long, but interesting, i am lucky most of the time if i am riding to not really drink, just not a good combo, but as with most everybody you break this every so often due to someone handing you a drink. I can relate to that one or two drink feeling and never really looked at it this way.
