Rocker boxes leaking...

Rode the pittbull in a benefit run last saturday and noticed oil leaking from around the rocker boxes, guess it"s time to pull the tank and change them, never done this before but I quess it can"t be that hard...or can it....I ndid try tighting them did not work....it is leaking from the front of the motor front jug....

you got the tp boxes?? cant say for them but the s&s boxes are easy look up raywoods how to on the "top end rebuild" it will show ya how!!

Very rare to have S&S rocker boxes leak.Especially if their tight.:eek:
IMO,it may be a breather problem.Usually oil leaking around the front head to cylinder area is caused by this.:angry:
Clean the entire area well,ride at a slow speed,so the air doesn't blow the oil all over,and see EXACTLY where it's coming from.
If it's the breather system,you'll need to do a few simple mods to fix it.:up:

Meant to be more specific.. Leak at the front of the front head area.Above exhaust pipe area.

thunder john has prolly forgotten more shit bout bikes than I know!!!:confused: that would be a good place to start!!! if you do sum digging around you can also find hot to take care of that as well!! or if your nice:) john will prolly tell ya how:2thumbs:
