Has anybody with an 05 Ridgeback replaced the rocker box gasket themselves on the back cyclinder? Did you have to remove the engine since it's so tight on the back cylinder.
I know there's a sticky ... I need specific info on an 05 Ridgeback ... can't tell from the sticky what kind of BigDog it is. That's why I would like to know if anyone with an 05 Ridgeback has done it without taking out the engine. It's really tight between the frame and the back cylinder left bottom allen bolt. I guess I could see if that bolt will come out with a modified allen wrench. I just don't want to get part way thru and be supprized that the engine has to come out to complete the project.
Got the gaskets but when we tried to get the back rocker box cover off the suspected bolt would not come out all the way ... it was up against the frame and it was a no go for that and therefore we could not get the cover off !!!! :bang: So we tighten what we could and put it all back together ... I think if we cut the top of the bolf off we could get the rocker box cover off but I'll have to wait to get a replacement bolt and shave it down just enough to fit back in ... bummer man :argue:  but at least I can still ride ... It didn't leak on the way home after tightening it so we'll see if that really fixed the leak ... Well it's still leaking ... when I parked it no leak but in the morning just like dew it's there
