I'm trying to get Roadside Assistent for my DOG this year. I've seen several members state that they have AAA Plus, but I when to their Web Site where it clearly states that they do not cover Motorcycles. See Link:AAA New York - Search Results

Can any recommend a company for Roadside Assistent?

I have by cycle insurance with FOREMOST 1-800-752-2461 THEY WERE ABOUT $25.00 MORE THAT STATE FARM BUT INCLUDED TOWING to the near authorized repair shop which for big dog can be a little ways, I have had to use one time and they towed it about 150 miles and they paid no problem.

I'll have to go to the AMA website and see what the benefits are. I joined because of racing motox and then it really seemed like a good deal due to roadside assistance. I just cannot remember all that they offer...

I have Progressive and for $5 or $10 I cannot remember it covers running out of gas (Ray), dead batts, mechanical etc: free towning to nearest repair shop within 150 miles and covers labor on repairs from breakdown.

Yes, I checked into using them but the cost of the insurance is more than State Farm.

Thanks

Double check the 150 miles thing on progressive, I have them as well, you only get 15 miles free, then there is a charge. I researched this extensively when I put a bike out in AZ. AAA RV was the only policy I could find that gives you any type of distance on a tow. AAA RV is different from regular AAA, and if your local office doesn't offer it, call an office in another state and see if you can open a policy there and check if it covers you in your home area. RV is not offered in NJ where I live, but at my second home in AZ I was able to get a policy there, and it will cover me in NJ.

Well hot shit....glad you guys brought this up. When I purchased my AAA "Plus", they said it covered my bikes....called today, it doesn't!

However, in my area, I can upgrade to the RV (???) and it's covered. Below is the cut/paste from the website.

Hope this works for you guys. If there is another service, let me know. The Plus RV runs $140 and the Premier RV is $170. I got a headache trying to figure out the difference....but paid the $170 to avoid talking to that CS rep another 5 mins.

AAA Plus RV and AAA Premier RV extends service to travel trailers and motorcycles. Service for boat, motorcycle, and snowmobile trailers is provided under AAA Plus RV and AAA Premier RV within your AAA service territory, and will be handled by reimbursement if service is unavailable outside of club territory.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Plus RV and Premier RV:
An optional benefit for AAA Plus and AAA Premier members, which extends Plus and Premier coverage to the member’s motor home, pickup with camper, travel trailer, camping trailer and motorcycle. Member’s trailers for motorcycles, snowmobiles and boats also are covered. RV benefits may be added at the time of membership renewal. (RV coverage is an expansion of Plus and Premier benefits. Members not currently carrying Plus and Premier must purchase that in addition to the Plus RV and Premier RV.)
