So after taking my right controls etc apart to check wires and control board, it wont tighten. I can put it back together and tighten the two allen bolts as tight as they will go and the whole grip, control, brake master will slide and twist up or down on the handlebars. I even tried putting the allen wrench in and using a socket over the end to give a little extra leverage to tighten and the bolts are tigh but it appears as though its not really. What can I do about this? Also when I twist throtle, it is kinda scratchy and doesnt spring back smooth. I have taken it apart a dozen times to make sure its not cattching etc but still having both problems. Thanks for any ideas.:confused:

Tyler, take it apart again, take a deep breath, take you're time and look it over good. You're not getting something back together right. Don't overtighten the screws you will break them off next. Lube the cables while you are in there. Good luck.

Tyler, I think there is a small set screw on the back side you tighten to hold it in place. Look underneath the area where the brake line comes in and you will see it. Tighten that set screw and the unit will stay in place

Thanks for the replies, I will investigate more today and let you know the outcome. Maybe the 13th time is a charm..

Check your cables for a tight turn. I replace the bars on one of my bikes and had cruse control because the throttle wouldn't return. Had to redo the cable path. Also, is there a small nipple on the control that goes into a small hole in the bar to keep it in place? There was on my bike and the nipple broke off so it would spin.
