Usually ride with my sweetheart on the back.
Occasionally with other other bikes but for the most part alone...This past summer was so wet and cool it was hard to plan anything more than a two days in advance.

I have always liked riding alone best. Just me and the wind, the scenery, and my thoughts. No one to have to look out for and no one dictating how fast (or slow) I have to ride and most important of all, WHEN I HAVE TO TAKE A PISS (or take a picture) I CAN STOP (without holding everybody up or getting left behind)!

One of my very best rides was all by myself from SW UT to Sturgis and back (3 days up, 6 days there, 3 days back, NO freeways). But I have to say on that ride I met up with a bunch of friends at Hog Heaven and we rode all over the hills together. So for that trip I had the best of both types of riding!

Really "ITS ALL GOOD"!

I used to like to ride in large groups but the older I get the more I like the solitude or companionship of only 1 or 2 friends.

I ride with a group or myself.....i just like to ride.

If I am sight seeing I like to either go two up or alone. Riding in a group takes practise and concentration. I cannot sight see and be in a group....to dangerous for everybody.

In general I am a solo rider because most of my riding is commuting.

It really doesn't matter as long as I know the limitations of the other riders.
I just try and stay on top "of the bike"! But the other riding style...."under her" is OK too! :2thumbs::D

That's for sure. Next summer for sure we'll get a ride or two in. I see we have another dog down around Dansville.:2thumbs:

Do not let a good rain storm stop your ride, afterall it is just water, and you will dry out when you reach your destnation 300 miles later

Truth. I rode in the rain for like 6 of my 8hr ride out to PA a few weeks back. 45* and raining. Sucked but I got there and it was SO worth it!

Some of my best rides have been in the rain. Just have to accept it as different and enjoy the ride.

Oh yeah... can't let it beat ya up. Otherwise you'll just be miserable. Just fig on being in it, wet or not, and just do what ya can.

Now the hail one time and 70 mph straight line winds the other sucked big time.

But hey it is a good baseline for a ride now that it's over.

Up for both. Sometimes it's great to be alone with the wind and road. But it is great to get out with a small group of friends and enjoy the ride to...anywhere, as long as it's in the wind! :2thumbs:

I just love riding. Sometime I love riding alone, it gives me time to think. But I do love riding with good friends. Riding with friends to me seems to make our friendship even closer.
