Riding My Chopper

My neighbor is Mr Know it all, good guy in general but he is the guy that has something to say about everything and knows it all. So far he has mentioned a few things he noticed my bike having a issue with as I road by his house and has been right. Anyways, I ride my bike a lot, to the store daily or picking up my son a couple blocks away at his school. My neighbor said yesterday that my bike was only made to ride once in a while and maybe for a hour on the weekends unlike his Harley Bagger. I got my Chopper to ride as much as I want, even though I spend more time Polishing it than I do riding it. My Question is that, is there any truth to what Mr Know It All is saying? As I recall, my buddy Bill that is on these forums mentioned that it is fine to ride. I keep her Tuned Up and check all that I can before I ride, if it is a problem to ride it so much than it is time for me to get a new bike. What does everyone thing?

Thanks,

Bobby

P.S.
Yes I am a Total Nerd on a Chopper!!!

Ha ha. I had a neighbor like that once until he lost his house to foreclosure. Ride the shit out of it. He's only speaking out of his ass because he's jealous and know's he made a bad decision. These bikes have the power and get's the looks!

I got caught in those conversations so many times with Harley riders when I was asked what I rode. Mine was an 03 Chopper. I learned to walk away because it was going to turn ugly. I love the new bagger, I also miss the Dog. Tell your neighbor to get a life. :hi:

Thats what I thought, he is the guy who had a Chopper better than mine too. Boy, I have heard it all. He says he bets me a years of the millions of dollars he makes that my Bike will only last a year if I keep riding it like I do. My favorite is when I am out and I meet the guy who has the Best of Show Chopper every year at Struges. I have met, maybe four guys who have told me that they used to have the Best of Show. I show my Chopper at a local car show that goes on every Tuesday and I hear all kinds of stories like that. I love to just go to the shows and talk about my Bike, I don't know a lot about it but I go there and learn, there are some people there that know a lot. Bill aka (Five Five) is the one I trust and learn the most from that I know has worked on his Chopper plenty.

Thanks

Just passed 10,000 miles in two and a half years, and hope to pass 20 by 4. Some guys on the forum have 50K, so they are made for riding as long as they are maintained

That's funny how alot of us get into those same arguments with what I call hater's . Everybody said when I bought my k9 that all I was going to do was ride it around the block .but when I go for a ride I usually go at least 200 miles and there are plenty of us that ride further than that . My bike rides like and runs just as good or better than any bike on the road and doesn't get lost in the parking lot like all the rest of them.

They're made for riding. I ride daily to and from work 70 miles round trip and the longest day trip for me is 650 miles... Take it for what it's worth!

Nice lookin ride!

See if he wants to ride along to the local watering hole to get a beer, then when you get there sit out side where you both can see the bike near where you're sitting and watch all the stares your bike gets, then thank those who give you all the great comments on your bike.

I personally dont even invite conversation from his type......and if approached by them wanting to conversate I blow them off until they get the hint I really have no interest in his annoying banter.........I have 25,000 on an 07 CHOPPER that really wasnt outta the garage last year or this one for that matter and got it in late july of 07...

some guys feel a constant need to justify the cash they spent on whatever the hell they have. When someone in the neighborhood shows up with something cooler... they hate. It is more about him than you. Spite, envy, jealousy, etc... rear their ugly heads all the time to Big Dog bikers :) He probably paid more for his bike & cant handle that yours is cooler... His ol lady probably saw you & said, Wow look at that cool ass bike..! hahahahaha

Bottom line... fuck em. Who cares what he thinks. Ive heard some comments like that..... but I didnt buy my bike for anyone but me :D Ive got riding buddies with all kinds of bikes. We all talk about all of em. Difference is.... all positive. My buddies with non harleys, I compliment their bikes more than they do

Some people are just douchebags..... most of the time, they are the only ones who dont know it :D

It's actually not the bike he is talking down to its you. Next time chest up to him and imply your not taking any of that shit spewing from his mouth. Some people just need to be reminded they are talking to men, if they are.
