Hi All, Me and momma went for a ride sunday and put on about 450 miles on the pitbull. She almost died on the way home, i wasnt in the best shape but not as bad as her. Anything we can do to them seats to help her on the suction cup seat. I thought maybe gel inserts or something any ideas would be great. Monday i put on another 300 and i was hurting to so we need to do something lol. Thanks

pm the seatmaker on here. i'm sure he can fix you up. i think there's some stuff called PRO PAD it's kinda like a gel i think.

IT IS A RIDGED bigdog107 !

Doing the seat will help a tad, but it isn't going to make it ride any better.

That is the nature of the beast, there is no rear suspension!:D

The 2 up seat is way more comfortable for your passenger. :D

stl, ya she said her cooter was broke in half and sure enough i saw it a crack right down the middle lol Ya i know its a hard tail but if the seat was shaped to hold her in place and maybe a gel insert it might help.

ummm hardtails are for bar hoping son...:)

I have an 04 rigid and it's been on more than just bar hops!

Even with a bad back I can still get on and take it where ever I want.

Bigdog 107 - I feel your pain because my wife was the same way. I sent Seatmaker the seats and he added a little bit of gel to both and she finds it to be way more comfortable then what it used to be.

That's a suggestion to try also I air the tire down to about 30psi. on the bike when she's on it.

I agree with the 2-up seat. The OL likes it better than the P-pad. Took her for a ride a buds 06 Ridgeback that has a sissy bar and she liked it better due to being able to lean back some. Looks like a sissy bar is in the future now.

Another round please
I would say your wife has one fine hard ass. Feed her some fast food, her ass will fatten up and have her own built in pad. I had gel put it my seat from seatmaker, not much of a difference from what I can tell.

ya i think i am going to talk to seat maker see what he has to say. I know that a hard tail is not made for the long hauls but going on a 300 or 400 mile ride should not be a big deal if everything is set up right. thanks for all the info

Now come on. I meant no ill feelings. Its just a pretty bold statement you made. I know plenty of peeps that ride hard tails, and wouldnt have it ANY other way. And we can ride all day with the folks on their Road Kings and Ultra Classics and whatever...hell, Ive kept going (bad back, discs and all) while they pull their rolling sofas over cause they need a break. :2thumbs:

what ever u say east coaster.....6th grade has treated you well. :)
