I 've had my RB since 08'. I have put 27,500 miles on it and love it. 56 years old and sometimes a pothole or bridge abutment will get your attention but in all I just like the look better than a K9. :D

:2thumbs:Jerry,

You are a real man in my book. I am only 52. I don't see why we can't ride our Ridgebacks until we can't see the pot holes anymore!:whoop: If I do the speed limit, I think I can ride until I die of old age in my sleep.:D

I must admit that I was concerned at first. After about a week, my concerns went away. That big 330 back tire is a shock in it's self. I'd get on my bike any day of the week and do 4 to 500 miles if I had the time. It doesn't matter which bike I ride, it gets to be boring when you get over 400 miles for me. 500 miles to Austin Texas is my normal long distance run for the ROT Rally.

06 K9 with almost 40K on it, and love it. Can easily ride 500 miles or more per day without a problem. But dig the Ridgeback too, especially the newer 330 model. But then again, I'm only 49 and have no back problems. Point is: they're both fantastic machines. Neither is a Cadillac cloud ride, to say the least; and both can be a beast to handle in a strong crosswind, but if you want a slightly smoother ride for longer hauls, I'd say go with the K9.

Huw, yeah we'll show those young guys how to ride!! Ha dthree other hard tails thru the years. Just like trhe feel. I rode over 450 miles last month in one day. My old lady had to come out and pry me off the seat!! Seriously, I had 3 discs replaced in my neck 3 years ago from a car accident. No problems with the neck but my riding buddies that are 35 yrs. old think I'm nuts. BUT I LIKE IT THAT WAY!!

I own an 05 Ridgeback, and I have ridden a K-9. I very much prefer the Ridgeback, especially mine. :2thumbs:

I love my Ridgeback! I never put more than 300 miles on the bike at a time. The roads here in Shreveport, to me, are extremely bad. If I want to go on long hauls I'll trailer it or ride something much more comfortable. I wouldn't get rid of the Ridgeback period! And by the way I'm 59 and will be 60 very soon!
