Ridgeback Sissybar Struts

Well, finally getting around to put a custom sissybar on the Dawg now. I bought the BDM struts from Wicked Bastard and got them the other day. Glad I could get the horizontal slide in struts before they went changing the Ridgeback ones to Vertical mounts. I had called and verified the part numbers that Vickie had given me with BDM the other day because a couple shops were telling me the numbers didn't exsist. BDM verified these were the correct numbers for the left and right struts for the 2005 Ridgeback/Pitbull:

BDM220-00213
BDM220-00214

But I have to say, they did not fit worth a Dog Shit (Pun Intended)!!!

The original struts had 4 equally spaced holes. So did the new struts, but the rear hole that the brake lights mount through, were off by over 3/8" completely missing the fender and hole. Good job BDM. :job:

Anyone else come across this on the install on their Ridged?

Here are some pics:

Oh, and while I had the camera in the garage, I took a pic of the cool Diamond Tread Iron Cross with Flames that he hand cut for me with the plasma. Kinda cool for 15 minutes worth of work.

Someone else mentioned they had a problem with ONE of the holes lining up before on their fender as well. Dont think he was on the forum ... direct order. I'll see if I can find it

I have been known to catch rain here in Florida from time to time, but it was just real dirty when those pics where taken.

Would those part numbers be the same for an 06?

I'm starting to look around for s/b struts as well.
