I havea 2004 Ridgeback. I had the seat recovered two years ago, new foam too.

Has anyone put the gel in the seats on the ridgeback? Basically where I can ride it farther before I lose feeling in my hind quarters, even though at 120 miles I am ready to get off, it needs gas too.

Just wondering,,,,,,

Ray, My bud put gel in his seat, an 08' Ridgeback. It is alot more comfortable and it did not alter the seat profile. He seems to be pleased compared to stock seat. Thinking about doing gel with mine. (08" ridgeback).

Thanks for the replies on the seat. I had mine refoamed and recovered a couple years ago. Everyone told me I should have put the gel in the seat when I did this a couple years ago, I understand why now. But Paul and Alan,, I never thought about the memory foam!!!! I want to do those 400 mile rides, but not with this seat well at least in a day.

Thanks again everyone,
Got me thinking of other options!!!
Even though a Pastor friend of mine gave me two gel packs he used on his Harley, look new too,

Likes more options, thinking about them both, which one would last longer and be the best !!

Ok, Great news actually, I am looking forwards to the new added padding and gel , :D.
I called the guy that did my seat before and was told he could put the memory foam and the gel in my seat, looking forward to it too.

Thanks guys for your input, it helped me make the right decision on this seat ..

You can always do silcone ass implants then every motorcycle seat feels comfortable! :whoop:

I had it done to my custom seat on a K-9! Feels pretty good.
