Ridgeback Execution Soon....

Energy One
So, the effing Ridgeback saga continues,
A couple of weeks ago my battery shorted out and fried the power module, something that has happened to many people as I understand. Purchased a replacement module and installed a Deka 20 series battery, fired up great, ran all day with many stops and starts, put it in the garage that night and I go to start it in the morning, turn the key, no ignition light on the the Thunderheart module, no lights, indicators, just nothing. Tried the slam button, turns the bike over fine, but wont fire. Surely if its another power module it would go out when running like it did the last time, how could it fail just sitting in the garage?
Any suggestions or perhaps and offer to take it off my hands? I have zero confidence now in this POS.

Double check all the connectors you were involved with and make sure they are clean and tight. Especially the grounds. I'm not sure about the wiring for a Wires+ but maybe you happened to smoke a Circuit Breaker or a fuse. The slam button turning over the motor would only indicate the battery is still good. Check for power to and from the ignition switch like Chubs suggested. Basically troubleshoot why all your circuits are dead instead of just the ignition.

Once you get it running check your VR and stator output. If you VR is bad it could be cooking the modules.

Given the availability of parts and the issues you're having, I consider a re-wire and get rid of the wires plus setup.

I know nothing about the wire plus mod other than it changed all the wiring. Either a re-wire to standard chopper or check with Jeff Moore at Dead One Customs about what he can do.

I have had my Ridge since new in 08`. I have divorced, seperated, yelled at, cussed at, left on side of the road and parking lots, qiven the key to strangers, but I still have her! And she is running great right now. You will get yours fixed and she will break again as mine will but they are worth it! Good luck.

I just like my Freedom
04 Ridgeback Wires Plus about 5 yrs ago power module 13014a changed a week ago.
When you tire of the WiresPlus, holler @ Curtis at WildSteedWorx. He has a PERFECT replacment. Axels EHC is the shit! Ran a WP in the Pit for about 8yrs. When the magic smoke left the WP black box, I went with this one. Flawless.

Ignition switches have been known to go bad. Just a thought.
I have power to the key switch and through it when switched on.

just went through that. Thought it was my VR, sent it out to Curtis and it was good. So, i followed every wire, unplugged and replugged. Check your grounds, those are just as important as the powers. The battery may be the cause. These Big Dogs are another animal, they need power. After i combed through the wires, my dogs barking like the whole kennels' on fire.

I personally have not worked on a Wires+ but this info may help you troubleshoot.

Ill get a lot of flak for the following but its still a fact.
We are all victims of Sheldon Colemans greed and lack of respect for their purchases. So...to the point. Remove EVERYTHING that Big Dog has touched (ex. 2005 top ends). After 13 starters , 7 in the first 2 years, two inner primarys, paint fix, rear rim, POS seat skin, failed control motherboards, ehc, speedos, ignition, ignition switch, so on, so on.
So I paid a custom builder to completely rewire my bike to remove the brain. No more issues.
