Rider Down.

2 words we never want to hear.

Our thoughts go out to the family and we took a few minutes to reflect on the tradgedy.

Thanks for the post.

Why I started this post

I started this post because we are all brothers of the road. I dont care if you ride a dog, harley, rice burner, crotch rocket, or even a moped OK Forget the mopeds. There is a bond when where ever you are you have a brother or sister that can help out. I think we should always post rides that have fallen and pay respect because no matter what, they are someone son daughter, brother, sister, husband or wife.

Rest in peace brother and my your wheel always meet the pavement and the road always smooth.

RIP-my thought and prayers go out to the fallen officer's family. It's sad to think he left four kids and a wife behind. God Bless!:flag:

I feel very bad for the officers family and from the article I believe this is soley the responsibilty of his commanding officers. Here's why.

This shows exactly what we all know... its dangerous. Perhaps the most dangerous thing he will do as a motorcycle cop.

Then the reason why he should have never been there and why I blame who ever his commanding officer that put him there.

A whole month? WOW!! Kinda takes out the wondering why he got in the accident, bit the curb and went down. IN-EXPIERENCE!!! There is no way with the facts in the first quote that he should have been doing this with such little expierence!!

RIP Officer and thank you for what you have always done with pride!

First and foremost, thoughts and prayers to the family of this fellow rider.

As far as saying this officer should not have been involved in a police escort and blaming the supervisor, I guess I would have to disagree. What happened was a tragic “accident” and to say the officer was inexperienced and should not have been there, I don’t believe that is exactly correct. (Nothing personal GMan, you know you’re the man)

When you start a new job or assignment, everyone receives a minimum number of training hours that prepares you for your job. Once the basic training is over, then you have to start your job and begin the learning process and slowly you obtain experience and become more proficient with your job duties. No amount of training or years of service can prepare you for every scenario out there. Everyone is the “new guy or rookie” at some point their career no matter how much training or experience you may have.

Everyone has to start somewhere and work their way up, bottom line this guy was doing what he was trained to do, I’m sure loved what he did and was tragically taken from his family.

:flag: I don't know how Texas works, but in NYC you go through rigirous amts of training and if you fail you go back to patrol, there are no mercy gigs, when you do finish your training you are ready for anything but accidents happen, case and point,my hats off to him ,he was doing what he wanted, prayers to his family

I think the fact that Hillary used the opportunity to further her political agenda via the accident sickens me even more.

I don't know if it's even possible to hate someone I've never met more than I hate that nasty bitch.

Of course, she was going to/ or coming from oak cliff ( the ghetto of Dallas ) I guess that's where her people live and vote themselves into my wallet.

Sorry, back on topic.

I'm sure that officer could ride. He'll, I said earlier that I lost 3 people I knew last year and, they could ride. Accidents are just that... accidents. Banshee Rod had been riding all his life and was in his late 50's when windshear blew him off the road into a parked illegal Mexican's truck, killing him. He was riding in formation so, the wind didn't have to blow him too far.

It only takes a fraction of a second to become a statistic, we all know that.

One of ours ( oldtimer ) is in the hospital tonight. He's in his 60's and has been riding all his life. He was coming out Saturday to do the music video with us and got caught on uneven pavement in formation and slipped off the road. Because of the road, he couldn't get back on and when he tried, the bike rebounded off, his engine guard dug into the ground and, he's got a collapsed lung, broken ribs and a broken collar bone. He just got out of ICU today.

I'm not quick to judge on the experience thing. If you ride enough, it will happen to you at some point. In some ways, the little fear from inexperience almost keeps you safer, provided you can steer and stop your bike.
