Yeah I use to have 2 F150s at work... then downsizing, cut backs, standard corperate cheapness set it... I was told we don't need 4x4 or full size truck... here's this 2007 El Comino. Whatever!! Of coarse now, they realized that when you have to flog this shit out these little trucks to get them to move (even with this 5 cyl version) you don't save much in MPG. Now when this one goes away we'll get a new F150. My company leases them for 125k miles, then we get new ones... old ones can be purchased by employees for a small amount or they just get returned to lease company.

I ride about 25 miles one way to the fire station and then my second job is about another 35 miles from there. If its not raining and Im not up on the OT list, (kinda hard to carry all my bunker gear and bedding to a different station for ot on the dog), I will ride all the time. My diesel pickup has been sitting for a while since I bought the dog!!! HAHA One thing I love is the ride home after being at work for 2 days straigt. Its a nice relaxing ride!!! With a nice shit eating grin on my face!!!

When we hit 130,000 they are suposed to replace, my last was aformer tech truck ragged out with 145,000. I would say this will probably be my last new truck.

I commute two to three times a week but during the wet season I am in the truck (I don't trust the cagers in the SF Bay Area when the roads get wet). The round trip is 110 miles. In the morning dodging cars, but in the evening smooth sailing.

working at the va hospital the only parking for bikes is out near the main parking lot. that means every person walking by wants to touch the paint or sit on the bike. so NO, i don't ride to work anymore. there is no respect for other peoples property. i wouldn't go over and get into their car or rub my hands all over their paint, yet they have no problems doing that to my bike.
other than that, i ride everywhere.

Someone should get a beat down. I hate when people will mess with my stuff.:spank:

If someone could figure out a way I wouldn't ruin my suit pants on my pipes I would consider riding more to work. Its just not easy to wear those kind of clothes and ride.

Anyone know a good route from Columbia Mo to Baghdad? Let me know and I will try riding to work! I love my K9 but I don't think it will "walk" on the water.

I doubt it will either but you never know. If its possible to be done on a BDM then Raywood has tried it I am willing to bet.

About two years ago there were two guys in the "Green Zone" in Baghdad who were able to find a couple Harleys that they bought. It was funny to see them riding around the IZ, since its only about two miles long and one mile wide. True dedication to riding!

I only drive my truck one day a week (weather permitting) and the only reason for that one day is it's my day to pick my two year old up. Other than that I am on two wheels, pretty much year round. Hey 15 MPG vs. close to 40, it just makes since. Hopefully I get her back on the road soon, the diesel is killing me.

I have about a 25 mile ride. Business casual most of the week. I ride the road king Monday - Thursday and ride the Dog or Redneck on Friday's and Saturday's when it's casual wear.:whoop:

Sorry T, but that kept me from making a yeast infection reference... :spank:
UCKY CUTTER! I'm glad you chose the pics signs! Speaking of...what a great pic for the calendar if I could only make it happen. It may replace the famous Marilyn Monroe flying skirt shot!

I use to ride every day, until my boss decided it was unsafe for me to ride. Now, any exempts in a leadership role can't ride to work. Non-exempt can still ride & any exempt not in a leadership role can ride as well.
My boss has made it clear that he doesn't like motorcycles & no one should ride them. It's been a little over a year now & I still get pissed everytime I pass a bike on my way to work. If the pay & benefits weren't as great as they are, I'd get a new job.
I bought my dog just 2 months ago & everyone has asked why would I pay so much for a bike & not be able to ride it to work. I just tell them...you've never riden a Big Dog, have you?
