Ride to Work/Work to Ride

I was wondering how many of you ride your cycle to work on a regular basis?

I've got about a 15 mile commute one-way and I ride 3-4 times a week. There's a few different ways to get to my job, one which takes a little longer but has little to no traffic most of the way and almost no stops.

Just wondering how often/far you ride to work?

I ride 2 to 3 times a week. It is about 8 miles each way. I put my stuff in the tourmaster bag on the sissy/luggage rack and off I go. It feels real strange not wearing jeans and a T shirt, but "business casual", but WTF, if I want to ride to work that is the price.

I go 40 miles each way. I have company truck/fuel.

I still ride 3-4 times a week if weather allows.

I didn't buy it to look at it. Thats for sure.

It also depends how hung over I am.

I ride about 25 miles each way, take the Dawg whenever the weather allows, and don't care much how I look at work - I'm too close to retirement to have to impress anybody anymore. :D

Here's the view out my office window:

I wish I could ride mine to work more. I have to wear a suit most days so I would have to bring a change of clothes if I did. I ride it on Friday's sometimes when I can dress down.

Well, not quite. :D Actually, it's in between two handicapped parking slots, but back up against the building far enough to be out of the way. I did get forced outa there one time by a company rent-a-cop, 'cause it did not have a handicap sticker on it. :job: I hate to park it out of sight...but it does distract me from work, sitting right out there.

If it isn't raining I ride my K-9 to work (15 miles one way) , I take it everywhere unless I need the truck or car to haul something.

one thing to remember, it takes approximately 20 miles to recharge the battery after cranking. so, the ones with short rides need to make sure they have a good battery or have a place to plug in the tender.

dress code for me is business casual, so i don't have any problems in that regard. however, with winter approaching i'm not sure how much longer i'll be able to ride. gonna try to stretch the riding season as long as possible with cold weather gear - snowmobile clothing helps!:)

Rains so damn much here in Florida over the summer I almost never get to. The clouds open up like a monsoon sometimes lasting several hours. After summer being we can ride almost year round I do ride more often..

I ride every day the weather permits. I just pack a small bag with a pair of pants for work.

I ride my hd to the train station once in a while on Fridays...roads in NYC aren't exactly friendly for motorcycles. I only ride the dog on my free time...

I never ride mine to work....Have not figured out how to drink coffee and smoke on it. Gotta have my coffee in the morning. They don't want me at work without my coffee.

Not that I give a shit and understand your frustration with the parking situation, but isn't that stripe area actually part of the Handicap access, especially if it between two HA spots. Would be standard for HA under ADA and UFAS standards and many place being a violation.

Normaly they are designed that way between two spots to allow folks with access for wheelchairs and other such items.
