Ride quality K-9 vs Ridgeback

As some know from my introduction, I’m right on the edge of making my first Big Dog purchase.
I’m looking at both the K-9 and the Ridgeback. For those of you who have ridden both, what is the degree of difference between the two?? 1-10..... 1= barely noticeable / 10= VERY noticeable
The bike I ride now has rear Progressive lowering shocks set at the stiffest setting. I have no problem with the way it rides. I have never ridden a hard tail before. I don’t do any cross country riding. Mostly 4 to 8 hours on a nice day with friends.....day trips at best.
All input is appriciated..............THANKS.....

I rode both at my dealer's open house last Fall, but on Wisconsin (smooth!) roads. For me, my decision was based mainly upon where I live...ie- what kind of shape the roads are in. I like the new Ridegback a lot, but in Illinois:eek: ...you'd need a sidecar attached to it to haul your dentist and/or chiropractor along with you!!! :loony::roll::whoop:
So, I opted for a new K9.

In Tulsa where the roads are crap I would say 10,it's all going to depend on your road conditions... If we had smooth roads I would have prefered the Ridgeback but had to go with the K-9 for the ride.

I love my Ridgeback and will never sell or trade it.My next bike will be the k-9 might take some time to afford it, but it will be worth it.I always Watch for pot holes and railroad tracks when riding. When i am on the Ridgeback i pay extra attention to the roads. I like the look of the ridgeback, plus i got custom paint V&H pipes, pillon pad, pass.peg set up for the price of a one color k-9 :2thumbs: :2thumbs:

ridgeback here. no regrets. just expect some bone jarring potholes every now and then. you'll just have to pay that much more attention to the road, which you should anyways. road mine all last weekend, and wasnt sore at all like i thought i would be!
