Wow....that's amazing to me that a dealer allows test rides like that....the dealers I have been to have a few bikes on the showroom floor and that's it, you're lucky if they let you sit on them.
I don't know if he lets everyone do it or not. I guess I just look trustworthy. I just went in and said I wanted a new bike but didn't know if I was going to get a Big Dog or what. I said I wanted to ride and it was on. They just checked my motorcycle license. Its probably because I am so handsome.

They probably have about 25 Big Dogs. Maybe more.

Well...I'm very trustworthy....just must not be as handsome as you:lol:

I'm sure the big dealers like that with 25 BD's must have different policies about test rides that a dealer with two or three bikes. The biggest dealer to me would be Full Throttle in Lansing....maybe the guys that go there can comment on whether or not they allow test rides??

If your dealer want allow a test ride you might want to look for one that will. You def. don't want to buy a bike and then not get out of the parking lot:down:

I cannot envision a dealer not allowing a test ride?

Buy from a dealer who respects the buyer.

I guess I was used to it....the power sports dealers don't allow test riding ATVs, snowmobiles, or sportbikes.

It's a problem when the dealers are too far away....I bought my Ridgeback over the internet and phone without riding one, sitting on one, or even seeing one in person as they had just come out for the '04 model year.

FYI....I bought mine at Twin Specialties in Raleigh and they are great to deal with:2thumbs:

P8riot,
What a pic ...was this at BD's head-office or a dealer near by? What an inventory of Ridgebacks.
That was just the few BDM had on their showroom floor in Wichita. They had "a few more" out in the distribution warehouse.

Here's one of the rows of just ridgebacks, in the same warehouse.

I called this "Pitbull row" in the warehouse:

Here's an attempt to get creative with the long telephoto lens - definitely shows how many dogs they can line up in a row in the warehouse:

And finally, to get back on topic, here's a couple pics of one of my favorite Ridgeback paint jobs.
