Thanks dude!!! I knew i could depend on this forum to steer me right!!!:2thumbs: :2thumbs:
Thanks for the kind words there!!! I really did not know which way to go but reading the all the main shafts that have broken lately I decided to go the Revtec and Spectra way..I am sure Redline is good too but just a feeling I have to go the chosen way!!!Both are excellent choices PT! I use Redline HD shockproof at the moment for my tranny but when the time comes to change I'm switching to the spectra because I have a quart of it in stock and so I might as well use the "new lick" that Baker suggests. WTF. I also use Redline MTL in my primary at this time but I used Revtech in my primary and tranny before switching to the redline products. All are good especially since we change them frequently enough that they don't get a chance to get worn out so to speak.
I bought my RevTech from DK:up:Thanks dude!!! I knew i could depend on this forum to steer me right!!!:2thumbs: :2thumbs:

Yea, looked all over the thing...i know is sounds stupit as hell but i have located the plug to put in the new but no drain.....This is the first time for me changing the fluids and really need to get this done....By the way we gotta get together and ride soon...I'm not sure on the 04's.....someone should chime in with a 04 and let ya know.....
did you look under the opposite side from were you put the tranny fluid in?
From what I remember on my 03 it was right behind the clutch cable so I went and looked at the owners manual and it has this pic. Get a flashlight and look under the right side just behind the cable and see if you see this boss on the tranny case not the cover. My be above the frame rail.Yea, looked all over the thing...i know is sounds stupit as hell but i have located the plug to put in the new but no drain.....This is the first time for me changing the fluids and really need to get this done....By the way we gotta get together and ride soon...![]()

Look at the inset picture in the above photo. It shows a smaller pic of a boss area on the bottom of the transmission case probably above the frame rail. Again you may need a flashlight to find it and a elbow socket to fit your hex into it.If my memory is correct that is the place to check the fluid level and where I thought you would refill it. I am I wrong?? Thanks for responding

Ray, just went and checked and everything is there just like you described with the exception of the little "ear tab" with the hex type bolt that should back out for the draining...I had the pic that you posted and that is what is confusing me..All is there right behind the cable and it take a large hex to get the plug (chrome) out to check the fluid level but no hex behind and down just a bit where the drain should be....:bang: :bang:Look at the inset picture in the above photo. Check it out and let us know.

Are you looking under the chrome cover or under the transmission case itself. We are talking about underneath the case right "not just behind and down just a bit"?Ray, just went and checked and everything is there just like you described with the exception of the little "ear tab" with the hex type bolt that should back out for the draining...I had the pic that you posted and that is what is confusing me..All is there right behind the cable and it take a large hex to get the plug (chrome) out to check the fluid level but no hex behind and down just a bit where the drain should be....:bang: :bang:
Thanks that is where i am looking but let me try again...We both know it has to be there and I have to overlooking it!!!:lol:Are you looking under the chrome cover or under the transmission case itself. We are talking about underneath the case right "not just behind and down just a bit"?
Look under the chrome cover where I have the arrow pointing but about 2 inches back towards the transmission case. Should be there if I remember right.
