Revenge Cycle

As some of you may know I ordered a set of Rick Doss Lightning Exhaust Pipes W/Emblems. I found them on ebay for the same price as Rick doss revenge cycle web site, but with everything.
Shields, gaskets, hardware.
The revenge site sells these pipes for $399.95
With or with out lightening logos.
On Ebay I was able to snatch these babies for the same price including gaskets brackets and all hardware.
Little did I know I was actually buying from revenge cycle.

These babies arrived today at 2:35 pm. I was so excited could not wait to rip open the box. But then when examining the pipes I noticed a flaw in the chrome on one heat shield. The chrome did not go to the end of the cover.

My heart was broke I felt weak. Damn I got blem's I hate that.
I called the number ASAP to the receipt. Revenge cycles answered.

I told them my heat shield looked very flawed, There reply was WOW were so sorry send us the heat shield and will send you a new one right away.

That was OK. So I hung up the phone.
All of a sudden my phone rings. Hello I said.
Yes Is this the guy who got a bad heat shield?
I said yes my name is Jeff.
She replied ,The owner just told me we are sending you brand new heat shields today. Don't worry about sending us that bad one.
Hmm... OK thanks I said.
She said No problem and Marry Christmas!

Yep Im pretty happy!
I installed the pipes ecxept the bad shield.
They look and sound awsome!!!!!!!!!!!!

Haven't heard from Rick Doss in ages. I've been to his shop in Danville, VA when I was stationed in Nofuck, VA back in the 80's.
He was a popular builder then and in almost every month of Easyriders. Will have to do a search on him and see what he is doing these days.

Enjoy the pipes,
Ray

Thanks Guys!

OK ..OK I get it. Im the picture hoer, LOL.
But first I wanted to talk about mounting the pipes bracket.
All I had to do to make these soft tail pipes work is use a spacer.
The bracket lined up good just and inch too far away.
So I added this spacer and a longer bolt in the picture here.

OK ..OK now that has been said, here are the pics.

Hope you like the pictures I know the bike needs to be polished again and the garage is messy, But I love the pipes and the sound is scary sick!

 :flag: :2thumbs:
