I just got a 2000 BD Vintage Sport, and it's my first V-Twin. When I rev it out it cuts out, and I can hold it in the "Cut out" phase. I've cleaned and set the carb, twice now, and it runs great at lower RPM's. Now, all I have ever ridden are Jap bike's that rev to the moon, and back, so am I just over revving it? Oh and it doesn't have a tach so I have no idea where the rev's are at.

Well, it wasn't a rev-limiter problem, it was an ignition problem. At the moment my crank sensor has taken a shit! It seems to get worse with heat, warmer it is the more it fails.

Well the cam sensor was it!! I went to Harlan's and he gave me one to try, piece of cake. He suggested one of those Daytona Twin ign's, for me,, any comments?

I have the Daytona Twin Tec. I like it. You can also adjust it easily without a computer. Let someone who is familiar put the settings in though. The rev limiter can be adjusted quickly and easily on it as well. Just my $.02.
