I am more than happy with my trouble free Mastiff.

Now about the Pitbull. When I saw the first Pic, I thought, well they fucked this up. All the pics posted still did nothing for me. Gotta say though, up close and personal, I think they have a winner. It is a well thought out scoot.
AND, they were fwd thinking enough to know they have to stay ahead of the rest with innovations. If it handles well, then we all win as the company will prosper and always be there for us.
If they wait to see where the herd of other builders are going, they will be 2 years behind, and losing.
BDM is trying to put a bike out there that appeals to all of us.
Mutt: Most of us think it is cute, a girls bike (sotty ladies), not needed in the lineup, but BDM has to do what it can to try to pull more new buyers in. If the mutt handles as well as the company and the dlrs proclaim it does, then BDM will have another winner on the podium
The Ridgeback changed to a beach ball sized rear tire, some do not like that, hell, some hate it, but it will sell as it will be very appealing to some of us.
The beloved chopper is gone this year, but we all know BDM will not let the name die away and they will make changes that some will despise and others will say, I like that better than my '05 choppa. Hey! It MAY happen.
K-9 is due for some subtle changes, time will tell.

Point is, these bikes will change and they have to if this company wants to stay in the forefront of Custom Production bikes.

Me? I want 1 of each.

I emailed a guy on Ebay that had a BD for sale with a starting bid of $4,000 and no reserve. He had 1 bid and 27 hr's to go. I told him he would have to sell it for under $5k if the auction ended. He was shocked.... He emailed me back and wanted to know what it was worth. I told him others were selling comparable bikes for $13k - $14k but it's only worth what someone will pay ya. He revised his auction with a reserve of $23,000 for a 2006. I told him "good luck".

I just sold my self built custom cruiser for $6k. Between the paint job, new parts and chrome I had $12k in just that. So.... It's only worth what someone is willing to pay.

The biggest problem with BD is they went out of business and all the priority parts are now hard to get and that scares many people off. If you can wrench or have a great mechanic friend it isn't so bad but a newbie would be lost. That makes for a lower re-sale value.

I'm now ordering parts that BD made to stock up on "in case". Got bars, lights, tank, spedo and a few other things coming. Also I'm having Jake put in the wire-plus system for me in Ft. Myers on Saturday. I suck at wiring.....
