Replacing LED Taillight Bulb

I know you can replace just the LED on the license plate light but can you do the same on the rear taillight LED'S? Couldn't find an answer under the search. Some are out and I'm not sure what I can do.

Super easy, the new ones are brighter too. I bet Curtis has them....

If you want it easy, yes. But of course you can start solder in new LED's if you find that necessary or even worth while.

These boards are not very hard to find either. I bet you'll be surprised when go to Curtis's site and look for them. I stacked up since I thought they might be hard to find in the future, boy was I wrong....

Bigdogpartsking has the new brighter LED boards if you want to replace the whole board and the have an epoxy coating on them also that covers the back of the board from moisture. Their only about $50 a piece.

Actually theirs do not have the epoxy.

I bought a pair of front ambers with the white LED ring in them and they had the epoxy, maybe different mfg.

Hey thanks for the info. I bought a set of stock one's off ebay already.

The stock LED lights can be fixed because they are open on the back, would just have to know how to solder. I have done so. You just need to track down the one that is broke because they are in series. However I changed mine all out to Custom Dynamics LED's. Much brighter and look way better.
