I'm not apposed to going without really. I ride in the rain a bit though. I really want to try a bracket to see if it'll stiffin up the front end a bit. I have a glass fender front and rear.
Yeah I hear you about the riding in rain issue (it sucks WITH a fender) and without one I was caught in many rain riding scenarios this past summer in Myrtle Beach and a few in Sturgis.I wont even mention Laconia-as it always rains there each & every year like clockwork:angry:
I spent alotta time in my motorhome partying:2thumbs: Not alot riding.

I didn't know that YOUR Fenders were fiberglass:eek: i'm a bit surprised-but it's a weight savings issue that I like and am fond of(being a drag racer-weight is my enemy in the horsepower to weight ratio I deal with).
It would certainly give you more stability on the front forks because it's a thick brace and has rigid structural integrity -as compared to a fiberglass fender.
Cosmetically it looks great as well-although I'm biased about it since I make it:2thumbs:
*IF* you ever decide to try one just drop me a PM or email and I'd be happy to help you out or accomadate you. It's a unique unit for sure ~ and I always say that : "Necessity Is The Mother Of Invention".:D

Revisiting because fender scrape is bugging me. I have fork brace and would leave it or stiffen like Vince81 has done. I doubt fender itself is providing any stability. I really prefer the look and its dry in california. Anyways, any final thoughts or ideas. May just try it.

I wish I had more money.
Only way to know would be to try it. It may take all of fifteen minutes to do.

I had a buddy do it and he ended up having some rocks hit his gas tank and frame. They chipped the paint and he now is regretting it.

Taking the fender off is a bad idea. It's there for a reason. I would only do this on a show bike that I would trailer everywhere.

Should have done this a long time ago, goin' old skool. Got a buddy to wrap the front of the gas tank in 3M clear tape to protect it from rocks from the fender-less tire. Lovin' it
