Removing Engine case for polishing

Energy One
How intensive is it to remove the heads and cylinders for polishing? This is the one part of my bike that drives me crazy getting in the cracks to get the shine out is just not working while it's all together. thought about trying to remove the heads and cylinders but leary of getting it all back together.

if you get the SSW+ manual from S&S it makes it clear.

just measure your squish and cut the bottom of your jugs for zero deck height while your there. you'll be glad you did.

Should of said deck height. Piston to top of jug at TDC.

Squish is the force of the fuel mix into the combustion chamber. The better the squish the better the mix of air/fuel which produces a more complete burn for better performance. IMO.

Not that hard of a job, go to the S&S website and you can download the info you need. It will cost you around $120 buck for gaskests.

Man, that Marv knows his squish. now I know what squish is too. I was thinking rubbery tasting stuff that kinda looks like onion rings.

I scubbed the heck out of my engine a little at a time. That is as clean as it is going to get in this life time. I took several rags and simple green and sprayed a little on the rags , scrubbed , scrubbed and wiped off.

Been there done that dremel with feltbobs tried just about everything removed the gas tanks. Still there are some areas that are just too hard to reach. Its and OCD thing
