removing clutch cable?

I was just out riding and my clutch cable broke, I made it home and for now I was going to take the one of my 04 and hope its the same but I cant get it out of the housing, I removed all the screws , mirror etc... but it looks like there is a collar where the mirror was , I imagine it comes out but how , don't want to break anything. and will I be able to get it out of the housing so I can change the levers pleas??

it should just press out. it is a bushing to go from the ID of the lever to the OD of the mirror shaft. don't loose it and make sure you put it back in.

I ended up using pen fluid and kept tapping till it came out. I also have a post on General forum asking about a clutch cable if anyone can tell me where to get one ?

That sucks, do you remember where and what you got for a cable?

Both wild steed worx and bigdogpartsking should have them. I have bought from both in the past. I ended up buying from my local guy this time and paid to much.
