What you got going on Hayseed? All of them bolt have lock tite applied to them and it sounds like they went overboard on them. I had the same issues when I removed mine, just have to be extremely careful with that.
Tape off the entire area with blue painters tape and bath towels in case of ratchet to wheel contact. I really didn't find an easier way than that of just common sence and muscle.

thanks -- i will try the heatgun method and tape as suggested,, i have a 06 mastiff that has a final drive chain and the sprocket needs to be replaced because the previous owner had the chain too tight and the teeth are worn/missing,,,, so i figured i would change bearings while i had the back wheel off,,,

yes replace wheel bearings at this time.....red locktite is tough to break and tap and die threads...
A 300 tire on an 06 huh? That the reason for the chain drive. You may need to take an impact wrench to them hammer type. The original bolts are heavy duty but if the sprocket has those smaller bolts like the discs then you need to be extra careful

i got em loose,, a breaker bar and a taped up extension bar through the aceess hole to minimized scratching,,, the rotor bolts were rusted and stripped the allen head0 on 2 of those -- i found a couple of old allen wrenches and mig welded them onto the srtripped ones -- used vice grips to unscrew -- the heat from the weld loosened up any rust/loctite and its all good now.. i am glad i replaced the bearings as the existing ones were not smooth turning.... gave me a chance to clean/polish the rear wheel,,,, front bearings are next on the to do list
