So i bought the PDM 4 years ago, just in case....

And now i had to put it in.
But the thing is i need to relocate the brakelight to the side mounted plate braket.
Cant solve ity thou. If i hijack from the rear fender Cables the brakelights work just fine
only thing is, it flashes when i hit the turn signal :oldswear::oldswear:

Any ideas guys?

I need eather red/amber combo or a way to route the brake light and runing light to the side. ( running light is easy)
and use the stock one as turn signal only

PDM is supposed to be plug and Play. You are saying that if you connect wires to the rear fender harness (as you should) it works fine, however, it flashes when you hit the turn signal. That is the way its supposed to work. Its a run, Stop and Turn signal all in one. Both lights should be on when you turn the ignition on as in running lights. Both should come on when you apply the brake and only one will come on if you apply the brake and use the turn signal depending which way you are going to turn. If that is not the way they work you may need to chase out the wires and change the pins around to match the color of the wires on the connectors. Just thinking out loud

Well this is a new one. Ever since Viet-Nam it has been beat into my head that Jarheads have been doing so much, with so little, for so long, that now they can do anything with nothing.

Carlos, you disappoint me. Your retirement seems to have brought on an inability to read the mind of someone only a few thousand miles away, who can't explain what they have and what they need. Such a pity!:oldhardlaugh:

In Sweden im not alowed to have red turnsignals.
There for i need eather red/amber combo led boards or cut out running lights and brake light and relocate those as red lights
and keep the stock one as amber turn signal.

Problem is i cant get a separate brake signal. PDM is wiered with turn signal and brake signal thrue same wire

Surely we have some other Swede's that can help out? There are quite a few Dogs there right? Somebody has got this figured out....

What did you have before? If it was EHC , pdm has to work. It's only 3 wires to each LED stateside and you probably only need 2. Red led power and ground on all the time and Amber would have blinker and ground. I imagine

I'm sorry I can't help you have to have a different harness that I'm not familiar with.

Hum, I thought we were fucked up here in the US of A and I just learned that Sweden is still using lanterns for turn signals. Maybe you should have mentioned on your post that you are from Sweden, then I would have kept my mouth shut and wished you the best of luck.:oldlaugh: :oldlaugh:

I got this sorted now.
I simply cut out the brakelight wirering from the harnes and conected one of the Wires to batterie plus side ( when key is on ) and the other wire to the brakelight usling the brake switch as a simple switch
I also had to put in an extra wire to the front switch to run as power cable

Hi Svahna i am also in the process of changing out the turn signals. Australian law also requires amber turn signals, i have the same problem the brake light flashes when i use the right turn and brake at the same time, can you explain in a bit more detail how you fixed this problem, did you use the violet wire or brown wire i understand these are both high and low intensity wires in one
any help would be appreciated
Cheers

Hey Fitzy what controller are you using? Still the original EHC?
I have put Doc's controller in and he made mine specially to comply with Australian rules!
About the indicators you can get amber/red led's to fit the rear ones and just amber for the fronts and leave
the running light wire disconnected in the front ones.

Paul.
