Reliable Mechanic Near Waldorf, MD

Need the forums help. I recently took my 2006 Pitbull to an authorized BD
service center and was not happy with there service. I never had a problem
with my bike prior to letting these guys get a whole of it. I went in for a
simple oil change. After I got my bike back and was able to get out on the
road with it, I discovered I had an oil leak. Tried my hardest but for the life
of me I can't find where it is coming from. I refuse to take it back to them
because I don't think they have a clue of how to service a BD. So it any one
knows of a reliable mechanic near Waldorf, MD I would really appreciate it.

First check that it's not over filled and that the oil tank drain plug, oil lines and filter aren't leaking.

If the bike is dirty underneath........power wash it and stay away from bar controls and other electical harness connections with the wand.

Also make sure the Oil Filter is not loose. Make sure the drain plug on the oil tank is tight.

Thanks all for your inputs. Checked the oil filter, plug, and lines with no luck. Gonna give it another ride to make sure its not residule oil. I think it might be
dripping from above the oil tank.

there shouldn't be anything "above" the oil tank. did they change from dino to synthetic? syn. tends to leak a little easier than dino. along with the o-ring, try some teflon tape. if they did an all-fluids change, don't forget to check the tranny drain. what color is the leaking fluid? check the primary drain and the vent for the primary on the back side of the inner primary just to the back of center.

@ Woodbutcher - They did change my oil from dyno to synthetic. The leaking fluid is dark. What would checking the primary drain and the vent for the primary on the back side of the inner primary just to the back of center indicate?

just giving you other ideas of what may be leaking. these are all places where leaks could happen. check them all before you settle on just one possibility. :2thumbs:
